Wirenet Amiga Internet

Software

The main software packages provided are:
AmiTCP
This is the underlying software that allows you to connect to the Internet and access it's services. Note that not all companies provide software that allows this. AmiTCP is fully configured by the Wirenet installer but the Dashboard can also be set to work with Miami, Genesis or Miami Deluxe.

Thor
A full featured news and mail package that lets you receive, read, write and send news and mail while on or offline.
AmiFTP
An easy to use ftp program that allows you to receive and send files from all over the world.

AWeb
The latest version of this highly acclaimed World Wide Web browser.

Dashboard
A control panel for all main internet functions. With this you can connect, receive and send mail and news, start the web and news browsers, ftp, disconnect, read mail and news etc.
Now includes user configurable buttons to run whatever programs you wish and available in MUI and GadTools versions.

In addition, a full range of shell programs and scripts allows users who prefer to work from the shell to do so.

Installer
A custom installer installs and configures the various software packages to your system, with a minimum of input from the user. The installation should be totally painless, but in the event of any problems, telephone support is provided. Once installation is complete, further support is available by email.
You will also receive an introductory AmigaGuide, explaining the services available and where to get more information. All programs come with their own documentation.

Although we provide a full set of software, you are in no way restricted to using these programs. In particular the NetConnect suite from Active Technologies works very well.
